Course Overview

The B.Sc. The nursing program is a four-year undergraduate course, inclusive of internship, designed to prepare students for a career in professional nursing practice. The program typically commences as per the guidelines of the affiliating and accrediting authorities. University examinations are held at the end of each semester.

The medium of instruction and examination is English. Students receive extensive clinical exposure through postings at our parent institution, MMM Hospital, Affiliated hospitals, and Government rural and urban health centers, ensuring a well-rounded clinical learning experience.

Admission Procedure

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have completed 12 years of schooling (Higher Secondary/Pre-Degree) from a recognized board/university with Physics, Chemistry,
   Biology, and English (PCBE) as core subjects.

• A minimum aggregate of 45% in PCBE subjects is required for general category candidates and 40% for SC/ST candidates.

• Only unmarried female candidates are eligible to apply.

• Minimum age for admission is 17 years as on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

• The candidate must be medically fit to pursue the course.

Application Process:

Apply through online @ www.mmmnursingcollege.org / www.madrasmedicalmission.org.in or obtained in person from the college office on payment of ₹1550. Application fees is non-refundable.

Eligibility Certificate:

All candidates must obtain an Eligibility Certificate from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. The application form for the same can be downloaded from the University’s website: www.tnmmu.ac.in. The prescribed fee must be remitted along with the application.

Medical Fitness

Prior to admission, candidates are required to undergo a medical fitness examination conducted by the Medical Superintendent of MMM Hospital. Admission is subject to certification of physical fitness and absence of any major illness or disability.

Eligible students may apply for scholarships under various categories including:

• Minority communities
• First-generation graduates
Support and documentation assistance will also be provided for students applying for scholarships from external organizations, as per applicable norms.
